Signal at the races.

This last Monday was another great evening for folks on Signals. Our own Pete Z. closed out the MTB short track season with a win in single speed again. That makes two in a row. Congrats, Pete. I've been telling him all along, all he needs to do is sweep the leg.

Drew picked up his road bike you see here on Monday afternoon and took it to the races at PIR that night for the first ride. He just went ahead and won his race. If only Matt and I were as fast as the people riding our bikes we could have a solid team.

signal wins!

Congratulations to Pete Z for putting one in the "w" column! Pete rode a strong singlespeed race at Monday night's short track, and held off the rest of the field to claim a hard earned win. This is the first win ever on a signal bike, Nate and I need to get some champaign or something...

Liz and I spent the weekend in Oakridge working and guiding for Mountain Bike Oregon. We've been riding there for years and take any chance we get to sample the trails. There were about 300 riders that MBO shuttled to the top of some of the best trails in the area. I rode Larison Rock (twice, once at night), Middle fork of the Willamette, Alpine, and Goodman Creek trails. My legs were feeling pretty used up yesterday. If you've ever considered checking this area out, MBO is a great way ride all of the coolest trails with guides. I highly recommend it. There is a second MBO in August, I won't be there, but Chris King will, and I'm sure those guys will have a blast.

And now it's time to get back to work. Thanks for reading.

cyclocross season starts today.

We send Gabe out on his new singlespeed cross bike this week. It came together beautifully. This was the first bike we built after launching signal at the handmade show in February. We ran into some setbacks with getting the wound up cross fork so Gabe had to wait a little longer, but we hope it was worth it. Gabe's bike was inspired by the '64 Chevy Impala, it's metallic paint white wall tires and chrome influenced the design decisions we made. I can't wait to see this bike and it's owner covered in mud this fall. If you see them at the cross crusade races this season, be sure to ring a cowbell for them!
