She's here!

Announcing the arrival of Sunday Joyce Cardinal. Born on Sunday September 6th at 4:08 pm. 7 pounds 1/2 an ounce. I can't explain how hard the day was. It was beautiful and painful and long, and when I thought I couldn't take it anymore, there she was. Elizabeth pushed through some insane pain. I have no doubt she was on the edge of coping with it. Our baby girl is perfect and I can't stop staring at her. This morning I asked Elizabeth what she thinks newborns dream about. I was thinking that when you have nothing in your brain to dream about, sleep must be a bit dull. So today I took her outside and showed her the tomato plants and the shop where daddy makes his bikes. I let the sun warm her head. I hope she dreams about tomatoes riding bikes.

cyclocross news
It's been a productive few days. After being away from the shop for 4 days, Nate and I returned on Thursday and got down to business. The front triangles are all together, we've got chainstays on two of the bikes and we should have seat stays all done in the next day or two. Sticking s-bend stays on it a time consuming task when done by hand without robots. We're saving up to buy some robots to make it faster and easier (and more fun). We have a couple new bits that we will be adding to these bikes. I can't say any more, but if you look closely at our flickr page over the next few days, you might spy them.
And still no baby to report. We're now 9 days overdue, but not worried.
